Meet Lindsay Kerry
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I became an Ambassador in January 2021.
Q: What do you like about being an Ambassador?
A: We are a hard-working group of people whose mission is to help support Chamber Members. I really enjoy learning about our local businesses and helping them with events, membership questions, and anything else they need. I absolutely love seeing businesses succeed in our area and looking forward to seeing the growth in Saginaw.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I grew up in St. Charles and graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Chemistry and Business. Then I continued my education at Northwood University where I obtained a Masters in Business. I started working at The Dow Chemical Company right out of high school, then decided to pursue a career in chemistry. I left the field in 2015 when the opportunity came up to join my brother, Nolan, in co-running our family office furniture business. I now live in Hemlock with my husband Michael and our two sons Aaron (5) and Eli (3 months) and we have a girl due in August.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was right out of high school at The Dow Chemical Company as an analytical co-op in the Toxicology lab within Michigan Operations in Midland.
Q: What worries keep you up at night?
A: I think about all of the tasks that I have to do in a week (personal or business related). I like to finish my tasks and it bothers me until I do.
Q: What is your greatest achievement?
A: My greatest achievement is my children; they are healthy and happy kids. I also consider our family business an achievement, we have been in business for 45 years and it is because of the hard work and dedication to everyone who works here.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: My most prized possession has to be my family.
Q: What is something unique in your office?
A: That we bring our dogs to work with us. We love having them there, and they like all the attention they get from everyone.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I enjoy going to our family vacation home. We’ve had it in our family the last 30 years, and plan to keep going. I also enjoy furniture flipping, I love finding junk and making it new again.
