The Saginaw Valley Young Professionals Network (YPN) and the Leadership Alumni Association of Saginaw County (LAASC) have created The Board Connection, a service to connect emerging leaders with local Boards of Directors. This program makes it easy for civic minded individuals to find Boards that serve issues they're passionate about. It also makes it easy for Boards of Directors to discover leaders who have the energy, expertise and interest to serve.
How it works:
- Local organizations complete a Board of Directors Recruitment Form that is returned to the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce.
- The Board position is posted on the Chamber's website and sent via email to the Saginaw Valley Young Professional Network and to the LAASC mailing lists.
- Individuals interested in serving on a specific Board complete an application and return it to the Chamber. A separate application should be completed for each organization.
- Applications are then reviewed for completeness and passed along to the organization.
- The organization then contacts those individuals with whom they'd like to discuss the opportunity.
