Event Description: Monday Morning Movies will run every Monday, August 6-27, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Zauel Library – 3100 N. Center. Spend a little relaxing family time during the summer!

Egg Roll Demonstration with Ming the Magnificent is being held on Tuesday, August 7 at 1:30 p.m., at Claytor Library, 1410 N. 12th. Teens and Adults will learn the basic techniques of Chinese cooking and etiquette. Participants will roll their own egg roll.

Altered Book Art with Miz Rosie is an exciting program for children ages 10-14. Change old discarded books into works of art on Wednesday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m., at Hoyt Library, 505 Janes. Transform a hard cover book using paint, mixed media, ephemera, yarn, buttons, maps and collage or anything you can think of to use in expressing yourself through this innovative art form. Discover your creative side in this unique artistic form of self expression. Art skills are neither needed nor required.

Come get the scoop about Claytor Library at the Books & Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 14, at 1:30 p.m., at Claytor Library, 1410 N. 12th. The ice cream social will include party games, a meet and greet and an information session about the libraries’ services. All are welcome to enjoy tasty ice cream at the program!

Preschool Storytimes are for children 3-5 years of age, featuring stories, songs, fingerplays and lots of fun for all. Storytimes are on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. at Zauel Library, 3100 N. Center and also on Fridays, starting August 24 through September 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Butman-Fish Library, 1716 Hancock.

Lego Club is on Saturday, August 18, at 2 p.m. at Butman-Fish Library, 1716 Hancock. Advance registration is required starting on July 30. Please call 799-9160 after 9 a.m. Children must be 7-12 to register and adult participation is encouraged.
