Team One Credit Union Raises Money for Food Bank
Team One recently participated in the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s third annual Caring Community Credit Unions fundraising drive. With the theme of “Hunger Does Not Take A Vacation,” the credit union sold “passport stamps” with a $1 donation representing the equivalent of 6 meals that the Food Bank can provide to those in need, $5 equaled to 30 meals and $10 to 60 meals.

Through the generosity of members and staff, Team One raised over $1,050 during the event which will help the Food Bank provide food to over 50,000 individuals each week in 22 counties including Saginaw, Bay, Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, and Genesee.

“Team One’s donation will make a significant difference in the lives of thousands,” states William Kerr, President of the Food Bank. “We appreciate their continued commitment to alleviate hunger in our community.” Team One also participates in the Food Bank’s Backpack program which provides children who are at-risk of hunger, nutritious food every weekend throughout the school year.
