Q: What year did you begin working at your company? A: Originally, 2013 – 2016 and returned in 2025
Q: What year did you become a Chamber Diplomat? A: 2006
Q: What motivated you to become a Diplomat? A: Getting to know other business professionals in our region, as well as helping them gain visibility and recognition in Saginaw County.
Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why? A: I enjoy attending the Perc Breakfasts to connect with both new and long-standing businesses. I also enjoy hearing the scheduled programming, seeing new members, and things happening in and around Saginaw County.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Diplomat? A: My most memorable connection(s) was with past presidents; Bob Van Deventer and Veronica Horn. They both played a valuable role as mentors, and cherished friends.
Q: How has serving as a Diplomat helped you in your full-time job? A: It has helped me throughout my career with my valued, long-standing partnerships.
Q: What’s one Chamber program or initiative you’re especially proud to help support through sponsorships? A: One of the programs I personally love and am proud to support is Leadership Saginaw. As an alum, the bond created with over 20 business leaders from different disciplines, learning together about what makes Saginaw County unique was very impactful.
Q: What advice would you give to a member who’s unsure whether sponsorship is the right fit for their business? A: First, connect with the Chamber team; they are very helpful with learning about your business, needs, marketing strategies and are a great resource to you. They’ll also consider connecting you with a diplomat who may know you or your industry and understand your business objectives very well.
Q: What’s the most rewarding feedback you’ve received from a member you helped connect with the Chamber? A: The most rewarding feedback I’ve personally received was hearing that I am very client focused and anticipated their needs well.
Q: What is something you always have at your desk? A: My planner, gum and ear buds.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not working or volunteering? A: Reading historical fiction, attending concerts, Lions football and traveling with my husband, Marshall.
