Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I started Trinity Creations Photography in 2013 and Self-ish Selfie Shoppe in 2023.
Q: What year did you become a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I became a Chamber Ambassador in 2024.
Q: What motivated you to become a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I love my city and love being a business owner. I started making connections with the Chamber when I opened my brick and mortar in 2016 and the networking was phenomenal!
Q: What’s a small moment as an Ambassador that made you feel proud to be involved?
A: I think that each time we show up for a “small” business ribbon cutting is a proud moment. Big business happens with automaticity, there are so many unseen parts but when you see the grind, blood, sweat and tears of small business come to fruition in your city, it just does something to you!
Q: What’s a piece of advice you’ve received that has stuck with you, personally or professionally?
A: My dad always told me never to tarnish my name. It's about integrity and showing up as your best self every time you step into a room because people will remember! Your name holds weight and what you do in this world can make or break you!
Q: If someone is attending their first Chamber event, what’s one thing you hope they take away from the experience?
A: I hope they remember that we are here to help! We are here as a resource and a bridge into the community!
Q: If someone wanted to start a conversation with you at a Chamber event, what’s an easy topic to bring up?
A: I would ask, “So, what brings you here today”?
Q: What role has the Chamber played in your personal or professional growth?
A: The Chamber has expanded my reach professionally. I am able to communicate with fellow business owners about my business with ease. The Perc Breakfasts and Business After Hours spaces allow you to meet people from all over Saginaw County and introduce yourself, your business and what you do.
Q: What’s something you’re currently learning or would like to learn next?
A: I would love to learn how to effectively market my business!
Q: What's one thing you always have at your desk?
A: I always have my handy, dandy “paper calendar” lol!
Q: If your job had a theme song, what would it be?
A: It would probably be “Feeling Myself” by Nicki Minaj & Beyonce - This song gives confidence and boldness. It says “I look good and I know it” our tagline at Self-ish is “Be Self-ish, Self-love is the best love” while and Trinity we “Create lasting memories and moments”!
