Meet Alexander Doyle
Q: When did you begin working at your company?
A: 2022
Q: When did you become a member of the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network?
A: 2022
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: As a transplant to the area, the YPN allowed me to branch out and meet new people. The YPN has helped me integrate into the community and really make Saginaw feel like home. I wanted to be able to preserve that spirit and help other people that are new to the area have the same opportunities that I did.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as YPN member?
A: The first person outside of my organization that I got to know through the YPN was Melissa and through that connection I was able to meet many of the other YPs. When I first joined the YPN and started attending events it was a bit daunting going without anyone from Tri-Star but, after meeting Melissa, I could always count on seeing at least one familiar face.
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: The Fright Night Ball, I went to my first one in 2024 and I am so excited to go again in 2025.
Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new YPN Members?
A: If you’re standing by yourself at an event and you don’t know who to talk to, just walk up to the first person you see standing alone and introduce yourself. Those first couple of introductions can always be a bit awkward but once you get the ball rolling it’s easy to keep it rolling.
Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people.
A: I know all the words to “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. My mom has had this song as her ringtone for the past 20 years and would often play it in the car.
Q: What was your first job?
A: Golf Cart Attendant at Chemung Hills Golf Course
Q: Tell us how the YPN has made you realize, or appreciate more, what Saginaw County has to offer in regards to living, working or playing here?
A: There are places in Saginaw County that I would have never gone to had there not been YPN event there. It is so easy to just go to the routine places for food, drinks, and entertainment that you forget just how much this area has to offer. YPN events offer the chance to broaden your horizons by trying out something new with a group of people.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
A: I spent 12 days backpacking through the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico.
Q: What inspires or motivates you to be part of the YPN?
A: There is such a wide array of YPN members and the ability to connect and grow with the young professionals who will someday be leading the community is what motivates me to be apart of the YPN.
