Meet Nicole Hanson
Q: What year did you become a Chamber Diplomat?
A: 2025
Q: What motivated you to become a Diplomat?
A: I was motivated to become a Diplomat because I believe strong relationships are at the heart of a thriving Chamber. I enjoy connecting with members, learning their stories and helping them find meaningful ways to engage and grow.
Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I love the Chairman’s Ball! It is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate, recognize leadership and strengthen relationships in a memorable way. It is always so much fun to get together, dress up and enjoy the evening with friends.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Diplomat?
A: Building relationships with Chamber leadership has been especially meaningful, as their authenticity, accessibility, and dedication to members reinforce the Chamber’s mission beyond events and programming.
Q: How has serving as a Diplomat helped you in your full-time job?
A: Serving as a Diplomat has reinforced the importance of listening first, understanding goals, and building trust. Those same principles guide how I support people in my full-time roles, allowing me to connect them with the right resources and opportunities more effectively.
Q: What’s one Chamber program or initiative you’re especially proud to help support through sponsorships?
A: I am especially proud to support programs that elevate and support small businesses by creating visibility, connection, and access to resources that help them grow and feel supported within the Chamber.
Q: What advice would you give to a member who’s unsure whether sponsorship is the right fit for their business?
A: I would have them start by identifying their goals and capacity. Sponsorship is most effective when it aligns with what you’re trying to accomplish-whether that’s visibility, connection or community impact. When it’s the right fit, it feels like a relationship investment, not just a marketing expense.
Q: What’s the most rewarding feedback you’ve received from a member you helped connect with the Chamber?
A: Hearing that a member feels more connected and confident because of the support and introductions I helped facilitate.
Q: What is something you always have at your desk?
A: I always have a notebook and pen handy. I am always writing down ideas, thoughts, reminders ect. If I didn’t write it down, it probably still needs done, honestly. I feel that with all of the technology available to us these days the power of writing is being overlooked.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not working or volunteering?
A: I spend time with my family, supporting my kids’ activities, enjoying creative outlets, and finding small moments to recharge – usually powered by coffee.
