Q: What motivated you to become a Chamber Ambassador? A: It was a great opportunity to deepen my involvement in the community, connect with new people, and support local businesses in meaningful ways.
Q: What’s a small moment as an Ambassador that made you feel proud to be involved? A: I’m really proud of the relationships I’ve built with other Ambassadors in my group and seeing those turn into lasting friendships.
Q: What’s a piece of advice you’ve received that has stuck with you, personally or professionally? A: Pause to recognize the small moments. Life moves quickly – slow down and be present.
Q: If someone is attending their first Chamber event, what’s one thing you hope they take away from the experience? A: I hope the experience was enjoyable and led to a meaningful connection with someone.
Q: If someone wanted to start a conversation with you at a Chamber event, what’s an easy topic to bring up? A: I’m always open to talking with people! I would love to hear what brought them to the event, about their business or their involvement in the Chamber.
Q: What role has the Chamber played in your personal or professional growth? A: The Chamber has played a big role in my growth by helping me connect with new people, build relationships, and get more involved in the community. It’s given me opportunities to learn, grow, and feel more connected both personally and professionally.
Q: What’s one skill or area of expertise people are often surprised to learn you have? A: People are often surprised to learn that I know how to play the piano. I spent many years taking lessons, and although I don’t play anymore, it’s something I’d love to get back into.
Q: What’s something you’re currently learning or would like to learn next? A: As I head into my second year as an Ambassador, I’m focused on continuing to learn more about the businesses in the community and finding meaningful ways to support them in reaching their goals.
