Q: When did you begin working at your company?
A: 2014

Q: When did you become a Chamber Ambassador?
A: 2021

Q: What motivated you to become an Ambassador?
A: I was looking to make more connections and get to know other local businesses. When you just go to the office everyday, you don’t meet a ton of people. Those people you interact with through Chamber events help grow your network, not only for you personally, but for other businesses as well. Often, I’m able to connect businesses with each other so they can form new partnerships.

Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I would say that making new connections with Ambassadors has been memorable. There are friendships I would not have ever made if not becoming an Ambassador. We come from different backgrounds and work in different industries, but we find common ground in the joy we have in helping others.

Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I love Business After Hours the most. It’s a great way to unwind after the day. Always good food, drinks and lots of networking! It is also great to have different businesses host so you get to learn about different businesses in Saginaw.

Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new Chamber members?
A: Just take a leap and go talk to someone you have never met. I have found many, many times that talking to new people has opened many new doors for my business.

Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people.
A: I have always been drawn to music. Growing up, I practiced the clarinet, trumpet and piano all of the time. I practiced so much, sometimes my dad would just turn up the TV to drown me out. I also had the opportunity to attend one of the largest summer music programs in Michigan and won a top scholarship for clarinet in the orchestra.

Q: What was your first job?
A: I was a waitress at a steakhouse in Bay City, and also a co-op student at Dow Chemical in the Toxicology department. However, being a family business, we all worked for mom and dad at a young age.

Q: What was your dream job as a child, and how does it compare to what you’re doing now?
A: My dream job was always working with animals. I always loved animals, thought I would be a veterinarian or something along those lines. Now I just bring my dog to work!

Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
A: Travel out of the country, I’m not much of a risk taker, so getting on a plane is quite the event for me as it is.

Q: What inspires or motivates you to keep giving back to the community?
A: I have generations of family that grew up in the Saginaw community, as so many others. I feel we all want the same thing, to see our community strive. Hopefully all of the work that goes into the community will only ensure a positive outcome for our future generations.
