Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: 2014

Q: What year did you become a Chamber Diplomat?
A: 2023

Q: What motivated you to become a Diplomat?
A: I was motivated by the opportunity to help businesses build a strong marketing platform, and by the excitement of seeing them get involved in the community and grow their businesses.

Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I always look forward to the Chamber Classic Golf Outing. It’s a fun event year after year and brings together so many Chamber members, along with other businesses that get to showcase what they do. It’s a great early-summer day spent outdoors with networking, food, drinks, and catching up with friends.

Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Diplomat?
A: One of the most memorable connections I’ve made as a Chamber Diplomat was with a member who was initially unsure how to get involved or where they fit within the Chamber. After taking the time to connect them with the right people and opportunities, I was able to see their confidence grow as they built relationships and became more engaged. Watching that transformation, and knowing I played a small role in helping them find their place, was incredibly meaningful and is something that has really stayed with me.

Q: How has serving as a Diplomat helped you in your full-time job?
A: Serving as a Diplomat has strengthened my ability to build relationships and communicate effectively, which directly translates into my full-time role. It’s helped me become more confident in networking, more intentional about connecting people, and more aware of the needs of local businesses. Those skills have not only expanded my professional network but have also made me a better resource for my clients.

Q: What’s one Chamber program or initiative you’re especially proud to help support through sponsorships?
A: I’m especially proud to support Business After Hours. It really speaks to companies that take pride in showcasing their business and creating a welcoming environment for other members. They invest a lot of time and resources into hosting, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see members come together, make new connections, and engage in a meaningful way. It truly highlights the value of community and relationship-building within the Chamber.

Q: What advice would you give to a member who’s unsure whether sponsorship is the right fit for their business?
A: I would encourage them to first think about their goals, whether that’s increasing brand awareness, building relationships, or getting more involved in the community. Sponsorships aren’t just about visibility; they’re about creating meaningful connections with other members and potential customers. I’d also suggest starting at a level they’re comfortable with and using it as a way to test the waters. Many members find that once they experience the networking and exposure firsthand, they begin to see the real value and opportunities it can bring to their business.

Q: What’s the most rewarding feedback you’ve received from a member you helped connect with the Chamber?
A: I once met with a member to walk through how sponsorships can support their business, not just in visibility, but in building meaningful connections and expanding their network. After they had the opportunity to participate and experience it firsthand, they shared that they finally understood how those connections come together and how valuable they can be. Hearing that it clicked for them and that it positively impacted their business was incredibly rewarding.

Q: What is something you always have at your desk?
A: Coffee and my calculator! My Yeti is always nearby in the morning, and my calculator is a must as a space planner and designer, when I’m constantly reconfiguring spaces, every inch matters.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not working or volunteering?
A: When I’m not working or volunteering, I’m a busy mom of three; ages 7, 5 and 1. We are on the go with sports, school activities, and family fun. I also love repurposing and refinishing old furniture such as tables, farmhouse doors, etc. there’s something so satisfying about bringing new life to old pieces and restoring them to their original form.
