TAX CLIMATE. Michigan job providers contribute substantially to the state and local government, paying just under $14 billion a year in state and local taxes. AGRICULTURE. With over 1,000 farms covering more than 180,000 acres, we recognize that agriculture forms an integral part of both Bay and Saginaw County’s economy. We support policies that promote the use of sound science and stable markets to strengthen area farms and agribusinesses.

The Bay Area is home to one of the highest concentrations of agriculture in the United States and we recognize the integral role that the industry will play in this region’s future. We advocate for laws and regulations that strengthen farms and agribusiness by ensuring stable markets for Michigan grown products and promoting sound science.
