Q: When did you begin working at your company?
A: 2022

Q: When did you become a member of the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network?
A: 2022

Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I strongly believe in the YPN Steering Committee’s mission to empower young professionals to live, work, and thrive in the Great Lakes Bay region. Joining the committee has given me the opportunity to contribute to that mission in a meaningful way.

Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a YPN member?
A: One of the most memorable connections I’ve made through YPN was meeting a fellow new member who quickly became one of my closest friends. A few months later, I even helped her move to Colorado! To this day, we remain great friends, and it’s incredible to think that our connection started simply by joining YPN.

Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I always look forward to the annual Shoebox event! It’s one of my favorite YPN gatherings because it combines networking with giving back to a meaningful cause, creating a truly impactful experience.

Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new YPN members?
A: It may sound cliché, but my biggest tip is to be unapologetically yourself. Genuine connections happen when you show up as your true self, and there will always be people who appreciate you for who you are. Also, I know it’s truly the scariest thing, but when I first became a YP, I was showing up to events alone. Our group of YPs are so accepting and would love a chance to get to know you!

Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people.
A: I’ve never been out of the country.

Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was working part-time at A&W when I was 14 years old, earning $1.20 an hour.

Q: Tell us how the YPN has made you realize, or appreciate more, what Saginaw County has to offer in regards to living, working or playing here?
A: Without the YPN, I may not have fully realized just how many incredible people, places, and opportunities exist in Saginaw County. The sense of community and support here is truly unmatched.

Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
A: In 2023, I took a road trip down to North Carolina with my boyfriend, Jordan, and his grandma to go gem hunting in the mountains. We filled buckets with dirt and hand-sifted them to find so many different gems that we got to clean and take home. It was such a unique and adventurous experience!

Q: What inspires or motivates you to be part of the YPN?
A: I’m passionate about building relationships and connecting with other young professionals in our community. I love exploring the city where I live and work and helping others see why Saginaw is such a great place to grow both personally and professionally.
