Q: When did you begin working at your company? A: WSGW, 2 years ago, and TLDH this year.
Q: When did you become a member of the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network? A: 2024
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee? A: To learn how to assist in the growth of business, be part of the overall development, and sustainability of the community.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as YPN member? A: Growing the network of professionals and up-and-coming professionals was something I didn't know I needed to do and I have made connections with not only Saginaw County Chamber members but also regionally.
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why? A: I try to attend at least one to two a month, whether it is a breakfast, book club gathering, or after-hours event because each event attracts a new crowd.
Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new YPN members? A: To put yourself out there, make an honest effort to meet new people with an open mind, and always go into a room with confidence that you belong where you are.
Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people. A: I went to Fine Arts College and had a successful artist studio I ran for several years after college.
Q: What was your first job? A: Tri-City Chiropractic for Dr. John Kelly, I filed paperwork and took patients to the room.
Q: Tell us how the YPN has made you realize, or appreciate more, what Saginaw County has to offer in regards to living, working, or playing here. A: I have learned about organizations and services that are offered to residents thanks to the networking events and the newsletter. I have also come to find ways myself can get better involved but I have found that I can also be a connector and point others in the direction they need. Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? A: Travel to Italy with less than a two-week notice and stay there for a month. Quit a job I was not passionate about, that paid well to take a job that I knew nothing about but would learn something new.
Q: What inspires or motivates you to be part of the YPN? A: Because one day YPN’s will be in the positions of the CEOs, executives, presidents, and managers it is our responsibility to learn as much as we can to keep and create a successful community for all.
