Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I began working at Dow Credit Union in 2021 with a passion for working with community members and families to find solutions to benefit their financial services and outlook.
Q: What year did you become a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I became an Ambassador in 2026.
Q: What motivated you to become a Chamber Ambassador?
A: Becoming a Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador is an opportunity to give back to the business community, build meaningful relationships and help create connections that support local growth. I’m motivated by the chance to welcome new member, foster engagement and serve as a positive advocate for the businesses that make our community thrive.
Q: What’s a small moment as an Ambassador that made you feel proud to be involved?
A: My first-ever golf outing for the chamber, meeting many new faces and being able to serve members of our community.
Q: What’s a piece of advice you’ve received that has stuck with you, personally or professionally?
A: One piece of advice that has stayed with me is people may forget what you said, but they’ll remember how you made them feel. Professionally, it reminds me that relationships are built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. Personally, it encourages me to approach every interaction with empathy and kindness, knowing that small moments can leave a lasting impact.
Q: If someone is attending their first Chamber event, what’s one thing you hope they take away from the experience?
A: I hope they see how welcoming the Saginaw County community is to new people, new businesses and new ideas and will continue to help Saginaw County thrive.
Q: If someone wanted to start a conversation with you at a Chamber event, what’s an easy topic to bring up?
A: I love sports, and sports can make a major difference in a community. They can revitalize neighborhoods and create lasting memories, like those from the 2024 Memorial Cup. I also enjoy talking about the revitalization of Hoyt Park and how its summer and winter activities—from ball games to ice skating—bring so many people together.
Q: What role has the Chamber played in your personal or professional growth?
A: The Chamber has played a significant role in my personal growth by helping me step outside my comfort zone, build confidence, and develop meaningful relationships within the business community. Through networking, volunteer opportunities, and connecting with professionals from diverse industries, I’ve grown both personally and professionally while gaining a deeper appreciation for the impact of community involvement.
Q: What’s one skill or area of expertise people are often surprised to learn you have?
A: One skill people are often surprised to learn is my ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and make them feel welcome. I genuinely enjoy building relationships, finding common ground, and helping others.
Q: What’s something you’re currently learning or would like to learn next?
A: I would like to become a more efficient and confident leader.
Q: What's one thing you always have at your desk?
A: I love pictures as they showcase memories of good times and happy moments.
Q: If your job had a theme song, what would it be?
A: Eye of the Tiger by Journey. As an avid sports fan I always recall this being played at Comerica Park when the Tigers are heading into the 9th, sometimes trailing and needing a rally. I think about this about life too. Sometimes we need a rally and there’s nothing stopping our motivation to change the outcome and give ourselves a “walk-off” feeling moment
