Job Description:
The Manager of Member and Sponsor Sales is responsible for growing and maintaining the membership base of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce through direct membership sales/dues, sponsorship sales and non-dues revenue.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
• Minimum three years sales experience with strong goal and deadline orientation
• Strong computer skills and database management with competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and web browsers
• Knowledge of or ability to learn membership database software (training provided)
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to think creatively
• Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple organizational meetings and volunteers
• Self-starter who thrives in a team environment but can work independently with a minimum of supervision
• Sound judgement and strong problem-solving skills
• Outstanding customer service, leadership and professionalism
• Ability to travel independently to and from appointments/events
• Ability to attend some early morning, evening and weekend meetings/events
• General knowledge of Saginaw County and the Great Lakes Bay Region

Duties:
• Membership
- Identify and solicit prospects for membership
- Design and implement membership growth plan
- Supervise, manage, and implement a membership drive when applicable
- Develop marketing strategies with communications team
- Evaluate due’s structure
- Implement collection process
- Manage Sales Leads Roundtable groups (4 groups)
- Solicit sponsorship renewals and new sales for house accounts
- Manage sponsorship renewals and new sales for Diplomat sales team
- Develop sponsorships and pricing with communications team
- Manage Diplomat sales team incentive program
- Oversee Diplomat sales team and recruit new members when applicable
- Assist in yearly budget planning
- Act as contact person for existing Benefit Partners
- Develop and implement communications/marketing plan for Benefit Partner Program
- Research and vet potential Benefit Partners
- Attend and assist at all Chamber events
- Assist all staff with planning and preparation when necessary
- Additional duties as assigned by Chamber President
