Q: What motivated you to become an Ambassador? A: I value our community members and want to help our local businesses grow and thrive.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Ambassador? A: I can honestly say I have a memorable connection to someone with every event I attend. Recently I had a chance to talk to some of the medical leaders from MyMichigan; the stories I heard were fascinating.
Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why? A: I would have to say the ribbon cuttings for businesses. I get a chance to meet the creative minds behind the businesses and network with other community supporters. Also, it keeps me up to date with new businesses in the area so I can share with others.
Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new Chamber members? A: Take the time to chat with everyone, each person has a wealth of knowledge.
Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people. A: I started competitive swimming when I was 5 years old.
Q: What was your first job? A: Bookkeeper for a plumbing business in California. My accounting teacher and swim coach in high school made the connection for me.
Q: What was your dream job as a child, and how does it compare to what you’re doing now? A: My dream job was to write fictitious novels. My career has nothing to do with this dream job and I have no desire to write anything.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? A: Bungie jumping
Q: What inspires or motivates you to keep giving back to the community? A: Knowing our community is only as strong as what we put into it. I want to work in a community that is successful, therefore I know I need to do my part.
