Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I started working for Sullivan Fence in 2025.
Q: When year did you join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I joined the YPN Steering Committee in 2025.
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I was motivated to join the YPN Steering Committee because I wanted to be able to connect with other young professionals while also making an impact in the community.
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I always look forward to YPN Gives Back: Shoebox Saginaw because it is a great way to give back to the community while making new connections.
Q: What’s your favorite way to build meaningful connections at YPN events—before, during, or after the event?
A: I think it depends on the event! Each event that the YPN offers different ways to build connections. All three have made an impact in the connections I have made within the YPN but my favorite is during the event.
Q: How do you hope someone feels after attending their first YPN event?
A: I hope someone feels welcome and included. I know for my first event I was super nervous because I didn’t know anyone, or really what the YPN was all about. So, I hope they feel comfortable being themselves, and leave knowing there’s a community that’s glad they showed up.
Q: What’s one professional skill you’ve strengthened through your involvement with YPN?
A: My confidence. Before I joined the YPN, I very rarely would walk up to someone and be able to start a conversation. Through the YPN, it has given me the confidence to meet new people and make new connections and every event I attend.
Q: What’s one moment during your time with YPN that made you feel especially connected to the group or the community?
A: At the Memories and Milestones luncheon last year. It was great to be able to connect with people who helped grow the YPN and see the impact they have made in the community.
Q: What’s one habit or mindset that helps you balance career growth with community involvement?
A: I believe that career growth and community involvement go together because being involved in the community can help enhance your career growth. By being involved in the community it can open more doors for personal and professional growth.
Q: What’s something outside of work that brings you energy or inspiration and helps you show up as a better leader?
A: Spending time with my family and friends. Being present with the people who know me best helps me disconnect from the noise, reset mentally, and stay grounded so I’m able to show up and be a better leader then I was before.
Q: What’s a hidden gem in Saginaw County you enjoy recommending to other young professionals?
A: Miles Market! Before I joined the YPN I had never heard of it. Since joining the YPN we have had a few events there and I have also gone there with some friends. A great place in Saginaw County to grab some food or just quiet place to hang out.
Q: If your life had a theme song right now, what would it be and why?
A: Stronger by Kelly Clarkston. In 2025, I faced so many challenges, and I am confident that those challenges have made me stronger and has helped me to realize what I can overcome with whatever is thrown my way.
