Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I joined Wilson Realty in 2020.
Q: What year did you become a Chamber Diplomat?
A: I became a Chamber Diplomat in 2023.
Q: What motivated you to become a Diplomat?
A: I’ve always believed strong communities are built through strong local businesses. Becoming a Diplomat gave me a way to actively support fellow members, help them find opportunities, and strengthen the connections that make our region thrive.
Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I really enjoy events where members can connect in a relaxed setting and build genuine relationships. Those conversations often turn into collaborations, partnerships, and long-term business growth.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Diplomat?
A: The most memorable moments are when I’ve introduced two members who ended up doing business together or supporting each other in a meaningful way. Seeing those connections grow beyond the initial introduction is incredibly rewarding.
Q: How has serving as a Diplomat helped you in your full-time job?
A: Serving as a Diplomat has helped me build deeper relationships across many industries. It’s strengthened my communication skills, expanded my network, and given me a better understanding of the challenges and goals local businesses face.
Q: What’s one Chamber program or initiative you’re especially proud to help support through sponsorships?
A: What I really enjoy is helping businesses choose sponsorships that align with their marketing and community goals. The Chamber offers everything from signature events like the Annual Meeting, Awards programs, Chamber Ball, and Golf Outing to networking and leadership programs throughout the year — there’s truly something for every type of business to get involved and make an impact.
Q: What advice would you give to a member who’s unsure whether sponsorship is the right fit for their business?
A: I’d encourage them to think beyond just visibility and consider connection. Sponsorships open doors to relationships, conversations, and recognition within the Chamber community that can lead to long-term opportunities.
Q: What’s the most rewarding feedback you’ve received from a member you helped connect with the Chamber?
A: The most rewarding feedback is hearing that a connection, event, or sponsorship led to new business, a partnership, or simply feeling more connected to the local community. That’s when you know it made a real difference.
Q: What is something you always have at your desk?
A: A small painted rock from one of my grandkids — a gift from the heart and a sweet reminder that family is built in many wonderful ways. It’s a daily reminder of how lucky I am to be Grandpa Ken.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not working or volunteering?
A: I enjoy spending time with family, working outdoors in the yard or garden, listening to music, and getting out on the golf course when I can.
