Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I started at Morley in 2024.
Q: When year did you join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I joined the YPN Steering Committee in 2026.
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I have been a member of the Young Professional Network for over a year now, and I can say that the events and connections you can make through it are phenomenal. The work and effort that goes into supporting and retaining talent within the community is something that I wanted to be apart of and contribute to.
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: I look forward to any event that is made for casual networking sessions with other professionals. This usually brings a comfortable setting that is relaxing and enjoyable!
Q: What’s your favorite way to build meaningful connections at YPN events—before, during, or after the event?
A: I think all aspects play a big role in making meaningful connections, but I am someone who enjoys connecting with individuals during and after the events.
Q: How do you hope someone feels after attending their first YPN event?
A: I hope that they feel the same way I did; encouraged, excited and intrigued. Before you attend, you have a feeling of uncertainty, but you become grateful that you took the first step.
Q: What’s one professional skill you’ve strengthened through your involvement with YPN?
A: Communication and relationship building have both contributed to my professional success, and being involved in the YPN has allowed me to grow in those skills.
Q: What’s one moment during your time with YPN that made you feel especially connected to the group or the community?
A: I had the opportunity to sit down at the very first YPN 101 and learn all about the journey and success of the Saginaw Country YPN. It was incredible and the speakers really made it feel like I could make an impact and be involved as much as I wanted to be.
Q: What’s one habit or mindset that helps you balance career growth with community involvement?
A: Being comfortable with being uncomfortable. I’ve never been the most outgoing or talkative person, and it’s never been something I was accustomed to doing. However, I have learned that if I intentionally face moments in my career that challenge me to tackle unfamiliar situations, I can be successful in my own career growth while impacting the community around me.
Q: What’s something outside of work that brings you energy or inspiration and helps you show up as a better leader?
A: My faith in God and the loved ones around me. Holding the same morals and principles to the best of my ability from my Christianity belief is important to me. I have an amazing partner and close-knit family that is always behind me and giving me motivation to be a better leader each and every day.
Q: What’s a hidden gem in Saginaw County you enjoy recommending to other young professionals?
A: I love supporting local and small businesses within the area, and I have gone to the SVRC Marketplace as of recently. I had a lot of great food and found a ton of goods while shopping.
Q: If your life had a theme song right now, what would it be and why?
A: One More Day by Sons Of Sunday. I’ve recently learned to be more thankful for all that I have in my life, and I’ve been continuously tested with my physical and mental health amidst it. This song is a reminder that no matter where I am or where I want to be, I am grateful for having one more day.
