Q: When did you begin working at your company? A: January 16, 2023!
Q: When did you become a member of the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network? A: I believe 2023, not long after I joined Tri-Star.
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee? A: I was looking for ways to become more active in my community, and I have always loved the events put on by the YPN.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as YPN Member? A: I connected well with all of the ladies on the Steering Committee, so when I applied it felt like I was just hanging out with friends!
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why? A: I love the Books & Brews Book Club! It was funny because I was looking for a book club to join, then the YPN posted the event not too long after.
Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new YPN members? A: Networking can be daunting, so my advice is to come up with one general question you can go up and ask anyone. My go-to is “What is something you’ve done recently for the first time,” but it can be as simple as “What’s your favorite hobby outside of work.”
Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people. A: I go to the movie theater more than the average person. The most I’ve been in one week is three times. I’m also a huge nerd. I love going to Comic Cons and dressing up.
Q: What was your first job? A: A bagger at Kroger!
Q: Tell us how the YPN has made you realize, or appreciate more, what Saginaw County has to offer in regards to living, working or playing here? A: It made me appreciate the people more. I always knew Saginaw had activities to offer and things to see, but I never realized the amazing people the community had. The YPN eased the pressure of making friends as an adult when I wasn’t really sure where to find these amazing people to begin with.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? A: Crash a wedding, or two.
Q: What inspires or motivates you to be part of the YPN? A: Saginaw is my motivator! I love it here and want to experience it the best I can. As long as I call Saginaw my home, I will continuously find ways to immerse myself in the community!
