Q: What year did you begin working at your company?
A: I began working at Tri-Star in January 2023.
Q: When year did you join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: My first year on the Steering Committee was in 2025.
Q: What motivated you to join the YPN Steering Committee?
A: I am very passionate about Saginaw and wanted to connect with other like-minded individuals who wanted to grow professionally and personally!
Q: What YPN event do you look forward to the most and why?
A: The CEO Mixer! It was nice to get to hear stories from some of the most prominent figures in the region in a comfortable setting.
Q: What’s your favorite way to build meaningful connections at YPN events—before, during, or after the event?
A: I try to talk to as many people as possible and engage in their interests. And, if I can, follow up with an email or text to invite them to the next event.
Q: How do you hope someone feels after attending their first YPN event?
A: Comfortable and connected! Meeting new people can feel awkward at times, but we hope to alleviate that through the YPN.
Q: What’s one professional skill you’ve strengthened through your involvement with YPN?
A: My communication. Before the YPN, I found it hard to just walk up to someone and introduce myself. Now, it’s almost second nature.
Q: What’s one moment during your time with YPN that made you feel especially connected to the group or the community?
A: Whenever I walk into a room and someone recognizes me. It makes me feel like I’ve made a lasting impression.
Q: What’s one habit or mindset that helps you balance career growth with community involvement?
A: Do things you’re interested in!
Q: What’s something outside of work that brings you energy or inspiration and helps you show up as a better leader?
A: I have a mantra of doing 1 of 3 things I love every day: reading, writing, playing video games. They help me decompress and focus on me so, in turn, I can focus on others.
Q: What’s a hidden gem in Saginaw County you enjoy recommending to other young professionals?
A: Miles Market. They have incredible food and an amazing atmosphere. Occasionally we have events there!
Q: If your life had a theme song right now, what would it be and why?
A: I Want It All by Queen.
