Q: When did you begin working at your company? A: We opened our business at the beginning of 2021.
Q: When did you become a Chamber Ambassador? A: It was the year of 2017 when I became an Ambassador for the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce.
Q: What motivated you to become an Ambassador? A: An Ambassador (Amanda Board) encouraged me to get more involved as a Chamber member. I realized being involved meant more contacts and decided to become an Ambassador to help others to realize the benefits of being an involved member.
Q: What’s the most memorable connection you’ve made as a Chamber Ambassador? A: As the owner of an insurance agency, I saw the potential of Sam Tany and hired him to work for me. However, Susan Moody with the Saginaw Chamber realized what a great asset Sam could be and recruited him to the Chamber.
Q: What Chamber event do you look forward to the most and why? A: I look forward to the Business After Hours events. They are a great way to network without much effort.
Q: What’s one networking tip you’d share with new Chamber members? A: When at a networking event, get to know the person first rather than going right in to pitch your business.
Q: Tell us one fun fact about you that might surprise people. A: While attending Saginaw Valley State University, it was quite possible that I was voted in as the write-in candidate for both Homecoming King and Queen. However, the write-in votes were not recognized by the prom committee. (Of course it all started as a practical joke.)
Q: What was your first job? A: Working as Stock/Bottle boy at Econo-King Party Store.
Q: What was your dream job as a child, and how does it compare to what you’re doing now? A: Professional baseball player! It doesn’t even compare to being a partner in a successful small business.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? A: Parasailing in the Bahamas.
Q: What inspires or motivates you to keep giving back to the community? A: Just knowing that just giving back even in any way can help improve somebody’s life.
