Q: How long have you been with your company? A: Since April 2015.
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador? A: Since February 2022.
Q: What do you like about being an ambassador? A: I’m looking forward to meeting all the driven and passionate business professionals throughout this region.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself. A: I am a 26-year retired Air Force veteran originally from Michigan and am happy to return to my home state. I received my Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University while stationed in Washington D.C. It was such a great experience that it was an easy decision for me to work for the University once I retired from service. I’ve lived in 22 different cities, traveled to 23 foreign countries and 38 states, but nothing makes my heart sing more than driving on a Michigan back road, taking in the sights and smells unique to Michigan, and knowing that I’m home.
Q: What was your first job? A: My first job lasted only one day at a pizza place in Clarkston Michigan. I was 16 years old and living there for the summer with my brother and his wife. I’m not sure why I was there only one day but a couple days later I began working at Walgreen’s as a cahier. I really enjoyed the staff and all the customers I was able to interact with. Things do happen for a reason.
Q: What worries keep you up at night? A: Absolutely nothing, I sleep great! This has taken many years of practice.
Q: What is your greatest achievement? A: The fact that I made it this far in life without once waking up in a foreign prison. I know you think I’m kidding, but then again…you’re just not sure.
Q: What is your most prized possession? A: My health. After a recent health scare, I’m holding on with a both hands.
Q: What is something unique in your office? A: An orchid that was presented to me from a colleague which I’ve worked very hard to get to rebloom. I’m happy to report that it has been a success.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time? A: Besides hunting Rocks? I’d say it’s spending time outside whether it be short walks or long hikes, spending time with family, and mapping out my next travel destination.
