Q: How long have you been with Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan?
A: I have been with Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan since August of 2009.
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I have been an Ambassador since January of 2013.
Q: What do you like about being an ambassador?
A: I love being an Ambassador for many reasons. I enjoy helping new members and other people who are new to attending Chamber functions feel comfortable and welcome. Being an Ambassador has helped me expand my network tremendously and hopefully has helped me to help others expand their network as well. I like getting to know and becoming friends with my fellow Ambassadors and other Chamber members.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I was born in Pontiac and raised there for about 10 years until we relocated to Cass City. I have two fantastic parents that are still married. I have an older sister and an older brother who both have two daughters. So, I am an aunt to four beautiful and smart nieces. I graduated as Valedictorian from Cass City High School. I then completed a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). I also lived in Mexico and Georgia. I have been an Elvis fan for the majority of my life.
Q: What was your first job?
A: I had a lot of small jobs when I was younger. My first official jobs were at Walbro Engine Management as a Parts Room Attendant and at Cass City Hills and Dales Hospital as a Human Resources Assistant when I was a junior in high school.
Q: What worries keep you up at night?
A: I am making a concentrated effort to try not to worry. The main things that can keep me up at night is worrying that I forgot to do something I said I would do and worrying about my family and friends.
Q: What is your greatest achievement?
A: Graduating from The University of Michigan and growing/expanding Goodwill’s services.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: My two cats. My family and friends are most important to me but they really aren’t possessions. Outside of something living – I have an Elvis Sun Record which is rare and I am happy to have it.
Q: What is something unique in your office?
A: I have a lot of different offices I work from and I don’t decorate them at all. I generally tell people my car is my office. I do have an EXTREMELY large box of business cards in my car.
Q: What is your favorite Michigan travel location?
A: Ann Arbor. I loved my time there and it brings back a lot of great memories. There is also a lot of fun stuff to do. My college roommate lives right outside Ann Arbor, so it means I get to see her and her family when I go there.
