VP, Investment Manager Tri-Star Trust 1004 N. Michigan Ave. Saginaw, MI 48602 (989) 921-0010 www.tristartrust.com |
Q: How long have you been with your company?
A: I have been with Tri-Star Trust since November 2018.
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador?
A: I have been a Chamber Ambassador since January 2022.
Q: What do you like about being an Ambassador?
A: I enjoy the networking on both a personal and professional level. It allows me to connect with people I wouldn't normally see or run into throughout my typical business day.
Q: What would you like us to know about you?
A: I was born and raised in Saginaw. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from SVSU and my Master's degree from CMU - both concentrated in Business Administration. I started working in banking in 2003 and quickly moved into Wealth Management, focusing on Investments. I worked through several bank mergers over the years and joined Tri-Star Trust in November 2018. In December 2021, I officially became a CFP®, Certified Financial Planner.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was at Arby's when I was 15 years old. I was paid less than minimum wage and my mom had to come to the interview with me.
Q: What worries keep you up at night?
A: Not much. I'm a list maker, so whatever is on my mind at night, I write it on the list to deal with the next day.
Q: What is your greatest achievement?
A: I would say my greatest achievements to date are putting myself through college (both Bachelor and Master degrees) without taking on any student loans and buying my first house on my own at 27. I am fiercely independent, if you couldn't already tell.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: My most prized possessions would be photographs. They hold a lifetime of memories, stories, emotions, etc... I always had a camera with me when I was young and friends gave me a hard time about it. Mind you, this was back when you had to load the film by hand and had limited amount of pictures you could take per roll (remember mailing the rolls in to be developed or visiting Ritz in the mall to have them developed?). Now, my friends and family thank me for capturing those moments so we can relive them from time to time.
Q: What is something unique in your office?
A: My personalized bobble head. In 2020, Tri-Star turned our Christmas party (canceled due to the pandemic) into the 12 weeks of Tri-Star and surprised us each week with gifts. Each employee received their very own bobble head to commemorate our 20th anniversary.
Q: What is your favorite Michigan travel location?
A: Anywhere up north. It is always beautiful, each and every season. And anywhere on water (lake, river, or pool) is heaven!
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: In my spare time I like to go to the gym, hang out with friends, read, watch movies and various sports, go to concerts, bake; really whatever makes me most happen in the moment.
