Employer Rights

For Michigan to be a leader in job creation and economic growth, our state’s employment laws must be fair, practical, and affordable. Michigan job providers need the flexibility to operate their businesses – and attract and retain good and talented employees – without intrusive government mandates, regulations, and restrictions.

Priorities:
  • Support the right of employers of all sizes to manage their workplaces, free of undue interference by local, state, and federal governments, and oppose government overreach via regulation, enforcement guidance or overly broad Executive Orders.
  • Oppose efforts to increase the state’s minimum wage, overtime threshold and/or paid sick leave law.
  • Support and defend Michigan’s landmark Right to Work law, which provides employees the freedom to choose whether to join and financially support a union.
