Saginaw County has exceptional and varied health care organizations, including Ascension, St. Mary’s, Covenant Healthcare, The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, HealthSource Saginaw, Great Lakes Bay Health Centers and many specialties. Each are served by residents of the CMU College of Medicine.
These organizations, working with CMU College of Medicine have positioned Saginaw County as a magnet to the region for underserved populations; both urban and rural. Support for expansion and more collaboration is essential to providing accessible and affordable health care.

Priorities:
- We continue efforts to ensure health care is accessible and affordable for job providers and employees in Saginaw County, the Great Lakes Bay Region and Michigan.
- We support improving links and partnerships among our hospitals and health care providers to promote accessible and affordable health care that is available to all.
