Q: How long have you been with the YWCA? A: Since April 2018
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador? A: Since January 2018
Q: What do you like about being an ambassador? A: I am passionate about connecting people, and being a Chamber Ambassador gives me so many opportunities to do that.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself. (Where are you from, education, family, etc.) A: I am from Michigan, I lived in several different cities as a child, and settled in Saginaw as an adult. I live with my significant other, our two dogs and two cats. I have a B.A. in Communication from SVSU. I am passionate about nonprofit work. In addition to working for the YWCA, I sit on the board for Women in Leadership and volunteer for several other nonprofits.
Q: What was your first job? A: My first job was serving ice cream at Curly Cone in Millington.
Q: What worries keep you up at night? A: I worry about everything, but I love sleep, so not much keeps me up at night.
Q: What is your greatest achievement? A: My greatest achievement is raising my baby sister, Tiana. I was 23, and she was 11 when I adopted her.
Q: What is your most prized possession? A: My car is my most prized possession because it’s a symbol of independence and my hard work.
Q: What is something unique in your office? A: I have a unique and beautiful urban art canvas created from graffiti. It’s several shades of blue and compliments my office décor. The piece was created by local artist and friend, Linda Kreager.
Q: What is your favorite Michigan travel location? A: I love Big Spring, Kitch-iti-kipi, in the Upper Peninsula. I prefer to go in Fall when the weather is cool and all of the leaves are changing colors.
