Meet Brittany Jeffers
Q: How long have you been with your company?
A: I have been employed by the Saginaw Police Department as the Victim Services Unit Coordinator since June 2017.
Q: What do you like about being an ambassador?
A: It provides a lot of opportunity to network with individuals I would not normally meet and be involved in the community in ways I would not have otherwise.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I am from the Saginaw County area and currently live in the western side of the county with my husband and 2 year old son. I attended Swan Valley High School before leaving the area for East Lansing. I am a Michigan State University alumni, having received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a second in Political Science Pre-Law. After undergrad I attend Kaplan University of Chicago to obtain my Masters in Criminal Justice. A few years after completing my Masters degree I completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s - Victim Services Division academy. I am the oldest of four siblings with three younger brothers, all of which, like myself, are huge sports fans.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was when I was around the age of 15 or 16, I refereed and helped with sport camps for Thomas Township Parks and Rec.
Q: What worries keep you up at night?
A: As the mother of a toddler, I usually crash whenever I do get the chance to sleep, but if any worries were to keep me up at night it would probably involve parenting choices or normal life circumstances.
Q: What is your greatest achievement?
A: My greatest achievement thus far in life that doesn’t involve anything academically or professionally, would be becoming a mother.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: For the sake of not calling my son a possession, I would say my many family photo albums.
Q: What is something unique in your office?
A: I have a collection of old law and criminal justice type books.
Q: What is your favorite Michigan travel location?
A: I enjoy visiting anywhere on the west side of the state, and the Upper Peninsula.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: During the summer I enjoy spending most of my spare time in the pool, kayaking, going to the beach or traveling to my family’s house. During the winter months I enjoy reading, watching movies and soaking in the bathtub.
