Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador?
A: January 2023
Q: What do you like about being an Ambassador?
A: My fancy green lanyard…… and helping new members feel welcome.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I graduated from a small town called Alma, then ventured up to CMU and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 2004. I began my career at the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce/CVB before moving to Horizons Conference Center, where I spent almost 15 years as an Event
Coordinator. Then Covid hit in 2020 and I was eventually laid off. I took advantage of this and got my insurance licenses and started my own business as an Insurance Agent. My husband,
Tom, and I have 5 kids together and 2 Golden Retrievers. Tom also owns a Farmers Insurance Agency, his office is Uptown Bay City. He’s been my mentor since I changed careers; I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him.
Q: What was your first job?
A: I was a hostess (then server and eventually supervisor) at the Big Boy in Alma. This is
probably still my favorite job of all time.
Q: What worries keep you up at night?
A: None. I sleep like a rock!
Q: What is your greatest achievement?
A: Definitely my kids. 100%.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: If you consider dogs a possession; they are certainly my most prized. If not, then I don’t really have anything I’d consider to be prized.
Q: What is something unique in your office?
A: I have a cute canvas painting of a cow. It’s pretty random, but I really adore cows, so I keep it up.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: The usual – play outside, travel and take care of my family. I couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s a good life.
