Q: How long have you been with Underground Railroad? A: Since January 2015.
Q: How long have you been a Chamber Ambassador? A: Since January 2017.
Q: What do you like about being an ambassador? A: I love meeting people who are part of the Chamber as well as engaging people who don’t know much about the Chamber.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself. A: I was born and raised in Saginaw and graduated from Swan Valley High School in 2000. I attended Central Michigan University for both my bachelor’s degree in Public Health (2005) and master’s degree in Health Care Administration (2010). I have an older sister and a younger step brother. I love hanging out with friends and spoiling my nephew any chance I get!
Q: What was your first job? A: My first job was cleaning the State Farm office on State Street when Chuck Ford was an agent.
Q: What keeps you up at night? A: My job keeps me up at night. There are days that I feel like we will never make a difference in the big picture of violence against women, but then I come to work and see the dedication the staff has to make sure our community is as safe as we can make it.
Q: What is your greatest achievement? A: Graduating with my master’s degree. I worked full time in West Branch and drove to Mt. Pleasant for class twice a week.
Q: What is your most prized possession? A: A plaque that was given to my sister and me from the Birch Run Fire Department after my dad passed away.
Q: What is something unique in your office? A: I have a sunshine yellow accent wall. It helps keep me going since I do not have a window to look out.
Q: What is your favorite Michigan travel location? A: Anywhere there is a beach is my favorite place to visit!
