Tell us about yourself. A little about me, I'm an SVSU Alumni. I graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Graphic Design. I work for Andrews Hooper Pavlik PLC of Saginaw (AHP) as their marketing assistant. I've lived in Saginaw since 2004 and my husband is a Thomas Township native. We have three furbabies, Bella our pug, Dexter our 6-year-old cat, and our now 7-month-old kitten Ollie. My favorite hobbies would be volunteering, organizing (clear the clutter), and reading constantly!
Why are you involved with the YPN? I became involved with YPN once I found employment in Saginaw. I originally commuted to McLaren Flint for about five years. I met Kayla Petz, Steering Committee Member, former Service Team Leader, at Starbucks on State Street in January of 2017 and was immediately in awe. She is the reason I joined and have continued to follow her passionate example. The YPN has given me the ability to become heavily involved in my own community, which is all I've ever really wanted. AHP has encouraged me from the beginning to be involved in our community. I could not ask for a better place to call home.
What visions do you have for the YPN in 2020 and long-term? I see YPN of 2020 growing even more, not just in membership, but physical participation during all of our events. We continue to reach young professionals with our message, "Good things happen here." These are not words, they are our passion, our drive and determination to do everything in our power to improve the lives of those in our community.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? If I had one superpower it would be to have a photographic memory. It would come in quite handy!
What is your favorite thing about living in Saginaw? My favorite thing about living in Saginaw would be The DOW Event Center. I LOVE country music and look forward to the country stars they bring to our area.
