Vaccination Plan for Michigan
On Tuesday, December 8, 2020 the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services presented a COVID-19 Vaccination update. Click the links below for complete details. According to Dr. Khaldun, Michigan will have attributed over 10,000 deaths to COVID-19, but there is room for optimism as the first of the vaccines developed to fight the disease could begin to be available as early as next week. The initial distribution will occur in phases beginning with: Phase 1A - Health Care Professionals and Long Term Care Facility workers and residents; Phase 1B - Essential Workers; and Phase 1 – High Risk Adults and Age 65+.
The distribution schedule is dependent on the Federal Government’s allocation of the vaccine to states and the manufacturing capability to produce the vaccines. Please follow the following links for complete details.
