COVID-19 Data Update (2/2/2020)
As we near the eleven month mark of business and school closures across the state, the Bay Area and Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce are committed to advocating for a safe reopening for all industries. Last month, a peer reviewed study was published by Stanford University researchers in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation that compared numerous countries around the globe based upon the level of restrictions placed on businesses and individuals due to COVID-19. The findings in this study are important as we continue to encourage additional openings, as it showed there is no significant benefit to more restrictive shutdowns. Even more encouraging, the study found that less restrictive policies can also lead to similar reductions in the growth of new COVID-19 cases. More...
